The Queen’s New Year Message

Hi subjects

Not since King Charles the First, has a monarch got involved in the politics of this country. Apparently, as King Charles the First found out it was not a healthy pursuit, he lost his head. However, I cannot just sit back and let the country go down hill any further. The final step was the Prime Minister’s decision to allow himself to be mastered by the President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, and follow his master into a war with Iraq like a faithful poodle. My hubby and I have discussed this issue and think that it was a bad move on the part of Tony Blair. It has turned out to be another Vietnam. The sooner we pull our troops out of this mess, created by the madman running our former colony, the better.

The Hairy Beast is one of your aforementioned “Colonials” and therefore knows nothing about English culture or politics. However in reference to your comment that “Not since King Charles the First, has a monarch got involved in the politics of this country.” He respectfully points out that many English kings after Charles I were eyeball deep in the politics of your country.

Consider Charles The First’s syphillitic brother James II of England (1633-1701). His political machinations lost him his throne in the record time of only three years. To a DUTCHMAN, no less (William Of Orange)!

James fled to France to rot away on an estate provided by King Louis XIV. Obviously he was the original “French Poodle”.
